After being an Explorer for 30 days or more, you can apply to become a community member and reserve a home in 4th Corner Commons.
Become an Explorer
The Explorer Program is your opportunity to get to know the community before making a larger commitment. As an Explorer you'll learn more about the project, meet future neighbors, attend community meetings and events, and explore whether 4th Corner Commons is the right fit for you.
As an Explorer, you'll:
Meet community members and build relationships with potential future neighbors
Learn about home options, pricing, financing, and project timelines
Experience how our community makes decisions and works together
Attend social gatherings and business meetings
Be paired with a community member who can answer questions and help guide your journey
The purpose of the Explorer Program is simple: we want people reserving their homes to feel informed, excited, and confident about joining the community. To be an Explorer, you would pay a non-refundable fee of $150.

Help shape the culture and future of the community
Build relationships with neighbors before move-in day
Have time to create a plan to move when 4th Corner Commons is built
Play an important role in bringing the project to completion
Project Update
4th Corner Commons members are developing the community on our well-located, 1.4 acre site on Dupont Street. We have completed our architectural design and are currently working with the City of Bellingham to obtain our building permits. We expect to begin construction in early 2027 and to move in at the beginning of 2029. More than half of our 42 homes have been reserved.
If you are looking for more than just a house; if you’re looking for connection, belonging, and a neighborhood where people know and support one another, 4th Corner Commons may be the place for you.
