Every neighborhood has rules. Great communities create agreements.

Long before we move into our new homes, we're intentionally creating the culture we want to live in together. During this session, you'll explore many of the community agreements we’ll be developing—from everyday expectations and shared responsibilities to how we'll care for one another and resolve differences.

You'll also experience one of the defining principles of cohousing: consent-based decision making. Rather than relying on majority rule, our community uses a collaborative process that seeks solutions everyone can live with. We'll introduce you to how consent works, why it builds trust, and how it allows diverse perspectives to strengthen rather than divide a community.

If you've ever wondered, "How do dozens of people actually make decisions together?" this session will answer that question.

The building plans are complete. The vision is becoming reality.

In this session, we'll take you beyond blueprints and floor plans to explore what life will actually feel like at 4th Corner Commons. We'll walk through the thinking behind the design of our homes, common house, and other shared spaces, showing how every aspect of the neighborhood has been thoughtfully designed to encourage connection while respecting privacy.

You'll discover how neighbors naturally come together for shared meals, spontaneous conversations, celebrations, gardening, and everyday moments that transform a collection of homes into a true community.

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to begin to imagine yourself living here—not simply owning a home, but belonging to a neighborhood where relationships matter.

Takeaway: A vivid picture of daily life at 4th Corner Commons and a deeper understanding of how our physical design supports the community we're creating.

Spend an inspiring weekend alongside the members of 4th Corner Commons as we gather for conversation, learning, laughter, and community building. You'll meet the people who are creating this neighborhood, participate in engaging activities, and enjoy plenty of opportunities for informal conversations that simply can't happen over Zoom.

One of the highlights of the weekend will be spending time with Katie McCamant, one of the founders of the modern cohousing movement. Katie will share insights drawn from decades of helping communities flourish and will help us think together about the exciting work ahead as we prepare for construction and continue shaping the culture of our future neighborhood.

You'll also have the opportunity to tour inside the old Roeder School building.

As construction draws closer, our focus is increasingly turning from designing buildings to building community. During the weekend, you'll gain a deeper understanding of who we are, the relationships we're already building, and the shared vision that will guide us as we become neighbors.

This isn't a conference. It isn't a sales event.

It's an opportunity to experience what it feels like to become part of a community before the first residents even move in. It’s an opportunity to really explore, “Is this what I want for my future?”
